Dr Mumbo

When an agency CEO takes his shirt off

It may come as a surprise to some that Dr Mumbo does care about his body.

So much so, that he goes to considerable effort to get just enough Big Macs inside of him to mould his torso into just the right shape of ‘dad bod’. It’s harder than it looks as you can imagine.

Turns out Dr Mumbo isn’t only one who cares a great deal about looking good with his shirt off.

Indeed it’s possible that MullenLowe’s recently-appointed CEO Paul Soon may care even more –and he is certainly less shy about showing it off.

As a reminder, this is how ad land will be used to seeing the ex-Possible boss. Suited and booted like a real agency pro.

And here is a side of Soon you may have been less familiar with from this month’s Men’s Health:

Those Men’s Health before and after photos

According to Men’s Health, Soon achieved his new look through a rigorous plan of canned tuna, pre-paid meals and ‘big compound moves’. Sounds like a barrel of laughs.

Soon claimed his motivation came from friends and family asking him to “take his shirt off”, something Dr Mumbo gets all the time, so he can empathise.

He tells the magazine: “I see myself as a source of motivation, especially among peers my age. If I can be at my optimal level of physical fitness past the age of 40 years old, they would think, ‘Why can’t I be like Paul as well?”

As much as old Dr Mumbo would love to ‘be like Paul as well’, he thinks he hears the sound of  something called life on the horizon.

Should Soon care to join him this Chinese New Year, Dr Mumbo will make sure to make it a double fries at the McDonald’s counter tonight. Until then folks.
