As ECD of JWT, Loke will be tasked with managing a number of as-of-yet unconfirmed local and international accounts.

He will report to JWT Singapore chief creative officer and global executive creative director on the Lux account Marco Versolato.

JWT recently officially appointed Farrokh Madon as chief creative partner for Singapore.

Mumbrella Asia understands that each creative lead will be responsible for overseeing particular client accounts, marking a move towards WPP’s ‘horizontality’ approach rather than a linear leadership structure.

Loke has more than 18 years of experience in advertising and design. He has previously acted as creative director and group head of art at Ogilvy Singapore and has worked for global brands including Philips, Proctor & Gamble, Coke, SingTel, Lego and The Economist during his advertising career.

“Loke’s strength in both creativity and effectiveness makes him a great addition to our team as we build out a mix of expertise and experience,” Versolato said.

“As we push forward with our business transformation for J. Walter Thompson and Mirum in SEA, we are seeing the next wave of young creative leadership emerge – recently Park and Pete in Bangkok, and now Jon in Singapore.” said Jacco ter Schegget CEO, South East Asia, of JWT.

“Having learned their craft over a period of constant reinvention, they view change as the norm, as an opportunity rather than an uncertainty, making them ideally suited to guide our clients into the future.”
