Right Hook becomes ‘first Singapore PR agency to accept Bitcoin payment’

An independent Singaporean public relations agency is claiming to be the first in the country to accept Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payments from clients.

Right Hook Communications has signed a partnership deal with blockchain media and marketing company, which has helped the agency build its cryptocurrency account.

The agency will now accept a percentage of payment from clients in the form of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency – allegedly a first for a local agency – in addition to traditional methods.

As well as a news outlet covering the cryptocurrency industry, also operates a business division that helps businesses go for an Initial Coin Offering.

Through a pro-bono agreement, Right Hook will assist the website’s clients with their public relations and marketing efforts ahead of their ICO.

“We see blockchain technology as pivotal for the business community,” said Wesley Gunter, PR Director and Founder of Right Hook Communications. “Our partnership with will enable Right Hook to offer our clients a full spectrum of blockchain services, including communication campaign management, to facilitate their adoption of this transformative technology.” founder Eugene Tay added: “Blockchain technology is a powerful tool for those who are able to wrap their heads around the disruption and visualise the power of distributed consensus.

“Never in the history of technology has something so diverse been so united at the same time. Some who are entrenched in ‘traditional’ systems may not grasp the ultimate implications of the cryptocurrency movement, but we see it becoming more and more mainstream and an appealing technology even for traditional businesses.”
