Transitions hands OMD Hong Kong media account

Contact lenses brand Transitions has handed OMD Hong Kong its integrated media communications account following a market review.

The appointment is effective immediately and comprises integrated media strategies, investment management and social media management for the eye care brand.

The move comes as part of a bid to drive “fresh growth” from the local market in Hong Kong, the agency said in a statement.

Louisa Ju, senior communications manager for Transitions, said: “We were in-market for an agency that has proven integrated media capabilities to help us raise our brand’s profiles and increase its awareness and engagement within the Hong Kong market.”

“We are excited to partner with Transitions in driving fresh growth from the lucrative Hong Kong market,” added Deric Wong, CEO of OMD Hong Kong.

“There was an immediate fit between us and the brand during the market review, which resulted in the additional brief of their social media responsibilities. We look forward to collaborating with them on their continued success story in Hong Kong.”
