BBDO Guerrero hires Federico Fanti as new ECD

One of the Philippines’ most-decorated creative agencies BBDO Guerrero has taken on an executive creative director for the first time in 18 months.

The agency, renowned for the ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines’ campaign, has hired Italian-born Federico Fanti from Y&R Moscow.

The agency has been without an ECD since November 2016 when Dale Lopez moved on to BBDO Indonesia. During the interim period, founder and chairman David Guerrero has overseen the agency’s creative output.

In his new role, Fanti will oversee accounts such as Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo, Mars and Red Ribbon. Having worked in the advertising industry for the past 15 years, Fanti has experience with global brands including Danone, Land Rover, Colgate-Palmolive and Red Bull.

He has lived in Russia for the past five years where he helped the Y&R Moscow team win their first ever Cannes Lion in 2013, BBDO said in a statement.

Fanti said: “I’m so glad to live and work in a country where the smile of the people is as warm as its weather. And most importantly, I’m deeply honoured to be part of such a legendary agency. David Guerrero is an inspiring and nurturing partner, and we share the same passion for the work and the same ambitions.”
