Mumbrella Asia is looking for a new editor in Singapore: Are you up to the challenge?

As Mumbrella continues to grow in Asia with an established events portfolio, rapidly increasing website traffic and a must-read daily newsletter for the industry, we are seeking a talented and experienced journalist to take on the role of editor at our Singapore office. The opportunity arises following Eleanor Dickinson’s move to our Sydney office.

You will cover the Asia media and marketing beat with a mature and measured approach – showcasing the best the industry has to offer as well shining a light on the worst practices in a ‘critical friend’ role. You will be comfortable breaking exclusive stories and commissioning feature articles. And you will be keen to interview everyone from high-profile agency CEOs, client-side CMOs and media owner bosses to creative directors, media planners and ad-tech giants – among others.

The role may include some public speaking duties as you might take to the stage at industry events, such as those hosted by Mumbrella. In addition, you will be familiar with a multimedia approach to journalism. Candidates with a bulging contacts book and a familiarity with the media and marketing industry landscape are preferred. However, strong performers from other journalistic disciplines will be considered.

The ideal candidate will also be able to offer insights when it comes to editorial strategy in order to continue the evolution of the Mumbrella brand, working alongside the publisher. This will be essential as our ambitious company prepares to grow our annual awards show – part of an events portfolio which includes the three-day media and marketing conference Mumbrella360 Asia plus the recently launched Travel Marketing Summit.

This is an opportunity to be part of a disruptive media house – founded and run by journalists – looking to make further progress in Asia following its major success in Australia, where it is the market leader. The focus on quality, ethics, transparency and professionalism is second to none, meaning our credibility is highly regarded by our peers and those working within the media and marketing sphere.

Some might say that career opportunities like this are rare, and they would be right. Come and be part of a tight but talented team with real ownership of a media brand that is doing things differently to its competitors.

To apply, email the Mumbrella Asia publisher Dean Carroll at before the closing deadline of June 4. Please include a covering letter, your CV and at least three examples of your writing.
