JWT expands Thai PR arm Verve into Indonesia

J. Walter Thompson has expanded its Bangkok-founded public relations agency Verve into Indonesia.

The agency has hired  former business director of Edelman Jakarta, Harry Deje, to lead the new operation as managing director. He has previously worked at Burson-Marsteller and McCann in Indonesia.

He will report to Marianne Admardatine, JWT Indonesia’s recently appointed CEO.

She said: “This is a milestone for JWT Company in Indonesia, to have a PR  arm for the very first time since its establishment in the country. Verve was introduced to assist clients in crafting strong stories for them and influence the stakeholders and create that credibility only able to be gained through public relations.”

Deje added: “I’m highly excited about this new role and honored to have been entrusted as the first lead for Verve Jakarta. I do hope we can fuel our growth as partners to our siblings within the JWT Company here in Indonesia.

“We share the same work attitude of limitless possibilities, how agility is a must-have, just like a start-up company. We mobilise all available resources and use creativity and high professionalism to bring  success to our clients with our story-crafting expertise,”
