Author and ECD Almon Lam joins DDB Hong Kong, after leaving Grey Group

Long-serving executive creative director and author Almon Lam has joined DDB Hong Kong after leaving Grey Group, where he was also an ECD.

He previously worked for BBDO and Bates, among others, and is said to have won more than 300 creative awards – working on high-profile accounts like HSBC, Visa and Pepsi over the years.

DDB Group Hong Kong has announced another addition to its impressive creative collective, appointing Almon Lam to Executive Creative Director. One of the most respected creatives in Hong Kong, Almon has a career that spans more than 26 years and includes both global clients and iconic local brands.

Lam is one of the most highly respected creative leaders in Hong Kong having worked on brands including HKTB, Wellcome, HSBC, Visa, Pepsi, CSL and Sunday. Almon has won more than 300 creative awards most recently recognised for his work on Wellcome’s  “Shoppers’ Got Talent” campaign — winning numerous creative and effectiveness awards in Hong Kong.

Lam is a great believer in nurturing talent. He has lectured at Hong Kong Baptist University and is an author of advertising books, ‘It is not easy to be a CD’; ‘This is an advertising book; and, ‘100 advertising tips by a little cockroach’.
