Grey wins account for Indonesian tobacco firm Gudang Garam Surya

Grey Group Indonesia has won the “iconic” Gudang Garam Surya account following a multi-agency pitch. As Indonesia’s second-largest tobacco company, Gudang Garam Surya is said to have sales exceeding US$5.7 billion.

Grey Group Indonesia has announced its appointment as the official digital agency for Gudang Garam Surya. Indonesia’s second-largest tobacco company with sales exceeding USD $5.7 billion, the brand is the largest profit contributor of the Gudang Garam Tbk Company.

Grey Group Indonesia underwent a stringent pitching process, with its key creative approach aimed at placing the classic brand in a new modern light. Incorporating a powerful and relevant digital marketing strategy required to engage Gudang Garam Surya’s modern-day target audience, it came out on top over several other competing agencies.
