Publicis India retains agency-of-record status for Skoda, following multi-agency pitch

Skoda’s creative agency-of-record in India, Publicis, has seen its contract extended for another three years following a multi-agency pitch.

As a result, the Mumbai office of Publicis will continue to provide “strategy and creative communication solutions”.

Skoda head of marketing and product Tarun Jha said the decision came on the back of growth in India for the car firm. “Publicis India showcased a thorough strategic and strong creative framework, which was in alignment with the brand’s vision for the future,” added Jha.

“We are happy to be renewing our creative partnership with them and look forward to a great body of work in the coming years.”

Adding his view, Publicis Ambience chief operating officer Paritosh Srivastava said he and his team were confident of the outcome of the pitch. “We expected nothing less given the body of work created by us in the last three years, which has also been recognised by the global Škoda team,” he said.

The team at Publicis had helped with a number of product launches including the Superb, Rapid and Octavia models. And the agency is known to already be working on a new brand campaign for the Skoda Auto, which will be unveiled “very soon”.

Publicis India has offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. Its clients include Nestle, Citibank, Garnier, Heineken and Malaysia Tourism.
