SPH print magazine buyers will be able to get digital subscriptions at same time in bookshops

Magazine buyers will now be able to purchase digital subscriptions to the 15 Singapore Press Holdings titles at the same time as buying print copies in bookshops under a new agreement with Times Publishing.

The magazines in the agreement include titles such as Her World, Men’s Health, The Singapore Women’s Weekly and Home & Decor. Prices will start from $3 for a single issue and $10 for a three-month subscription.

The announcement:

The redemption cards allow users to redeem digital magazines of either a single issue or a three-month subscription. There are 15 titles under SPH Magazines to choose from, including popular titles like Her World, Men’s Health, The Singapore Women’s Weekly, Home & Decor, and more.

Upon purchase, readers simply need to proceed online and activate the account using the redemption code found on the card. The digital magazines are available on both iOS and Android devices.

Prices start from $3 for a single issue redemption card and $10 for a three-month subscription.

This initiative follows the announcement of the partnership of Times Publishing Limited (Times Publishing) and SPH Magazines to digitise and distribute Times Publishing titles electronically.

Mr Loh Yew Seng, CEO, SPH Magazines, said: “SPH Magazines is constantly exploring ways to embrace the new digital environment and leverage on technologies to further engage our readers. With the change in consumption behavior, we have decided to bring our digital offerings into Times bookstores so that our readers have more options to enjoy our titles.”

Mr Siew Peng Yim, CEO, Times Publishing, said “Times Publishing is excited to work with SPH Magazines’ strong portfolio of magazine titles, not only in Singapore but also the region. This initiative is one of many new service offerings to be rolled-out as we explore new opportunities to deliver content to our customers.”
