Edelman Singapore names John Kerr as CEO, as Amanda Goh takes on new role

PR agency Edelman has named its vice chairman of digital and performance for APAC, John Kerr, as chief executive to replace Amanda Goh.

Edelman, a leading global communications marketing firm has named John Kerr as the new CEO of Edelman Singapore, effective 1 October, replacing Amanda Goh who will step down from the role at the end of September 2018.

Kerr has been in the Edelman family for 12 years. Before becoming Edelman’s vice chairman of digital and performance for APAC, Kerr successfully launched Edelman’s sister agency, Zeno Group, across six markets in the region, which has been widely recognized as an award-winning agency.

Prior to joining Edelman, Kerr led a regional PR agency as well as its New York office.

He brings both deep marketing and digital as well as corporate public relations experience to the Singapore CEO role. He has lived and worked in Singapore for 20 years.

Goh, a 15-year Edelman veteran, will be taking on a new role as managing director, global client experience, Asia Pacific. Reflecting Edelman’s single P&L, client-centric structure, she will be focused on ensuring that clients truly benefit from the array of disciplines that Edelman brings to the table from brand strategy, digital marketing and digital transformation, analytics, paid media and performance marketing, in addition to Edelman’s heritage in public relations, social media and influencer engagement.

Both Goh and Kerr will report to Lin.
