Shannon Dix leaves Accenture to join Wunderman as Singapore CEO

Former Accenture executive Shannon Dix has joined WPP digital agency Wunderman as Singapore chief executive officer.

Dix has more than 20 years of experience working across a number of markets including Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia. As well as Accenture, where his relatively short tenure was only 10 months, Dix has also previously worked for Publicis.Sapient and HTC.

Wunderman said Dix had been involved in “award-winning work for clients such as Unilever, Mars, McLaren, Volvo, Moet Hennessy, Emirates”. He will report to the agency’s Asia-Pacific CEO Caspar Schlickum.

At Accenture, Dix led the consultancy’s ASEAN digital hub based in Singapore.

A Wunderman spokesperson said: “Dix will be supported by Singapore chief operating officer Nimesh Desai, who will also continue to manage the integration of Wunderman’s business in South East Asia, and take on additional responsibility developing Wunderman’s fast growing ecommerce capability in the region.”

Dix joins at a ‘pivotal time’, says Schlickum

Schlickum said: “Shannon joins us at a pivotal time for our business as we continue to bring together the top talent in the industry to deliver a creatively driven, data-inspired business in the region.”

And Dix himself added: “With our industry going through significant change and clients demanding a more complete and agile way of working, Wunderman is uniquely placed to deliver on this and more. I couldn’t be more excited.”

Wunderman claims it “brings together 9,200 creatives, data scientists, strategists and technologists in 200 offices in 70 markets”.
