Havas wins media contract for China Telecom Group

China Telecom Group has handed its media strategy account to Havas China in a two-year deal.

The announcement:

Havas China has won the offline/traditional media planning and buying assignment for one of the largest state-owned telecommunications companies – China Telecom Group Co., Ltd. The account is effective immediately and the scope of work involves media strategy, execution, and performance evaluation for a period of two years.

Commenting on the win, Karl Wu, CEO of Havas Group Greater China, said: “The telecommunications industry is one of the key drivers of our national infrastructure and connectivity. Havas China’s Beijing office will act as the base city to serve the account and the team has already started work on the first burst of campaigns.

China Telecom Group Co., Ltd is one of the largest state-owned telecommunications backbone enterprise with registered capital of 213.1 billion RMB, assets over 800 billion RMB and annual revenue exceeding 430 billion RMB. The company has been ranked as one of the top Fortune 500 companies for a number of years.
