Burson Cohn & Wolfe expands China network with opening of fourth office

PR agency Burson Cohn & Wolfe has reacted to what it claimed is demand from new and existing clients and expanded its presence in Greater China.

The new operation in Shenzhen brings its network in the country to four locations.

It will be led by Veeco Tang in the position of market leader with Brenda Zhang as deputy. Tang will report to Qu Hong, market leader at BCW Beijing.

The expansion comes as the WP-owned agency beds down a new brand identity, released last month.

“BCW’s expansion in China reflects our rapid growth in the vital Asia Pacific region and the growing global demand for integrated communications solutions to build brands and businesses,” the agency’s global chief executive Donna Imperato said. “Shenzhen is a priority market for many businesses that are expanding regionally and globally, so it is critical that BCW has a strong offering where clients need us most.”

Hong described Shenzhen as China’s “innovation and economic development engine”.

“The launch of BCW Shenzhen further strengthens our coverage within the important Greater Bay Area, driving more support and more innovation for clients between our Guangzhou and Hong Kong offices,” he said.
