Embittered couple bond over kitchen appliance in film for Tecnogas from GreynJ United

‘No heart feelings’ is a new commercial for Italian kitchen appliance brand Tecnogas, created by GreynJ United for the Thai market.

Released on Facebook and YouTube, it features an embittered couple trying to rekindle their romance by recreating a vacation to Italy; a country they had visited in happier times.

Through the film’s generous six-minute plus duration, the couple alternate between near constant bickering and flashbacks.

The conflict is resolved a tad abruptly when a Tecnogas stove is used to prepare an omelette ‘Thai style.’

According to a note from the agency, the creative team decided to go beyond the functional attributes of a kitchen appliance, making it about “bonding, memories and relationships”.

Therefore, leading to the tagline ‘strong design for a strong relationship’. The film was directed by Bangjong Pisanthanakun whose filmography includes Pee Mak, Thailand’s highest grossing film of all time.

Pisanthanakun said: When I heard it was an emotional film based on a relationship instead of a product film, I jumped in with no hesitation.”
