Mediacom promotes Paul Waller to wider investment APAC role as Simon Broderick returns to UK

Mediacom’s North Asia head of investment strategy, Paul Waller, has been promoted to a region-wide role in a reshuffle that has seen Simon Broderick return to the UK.

Waller will succeed Broderick as chief investment officer of Asia Pacific.

Broderick, who has been based in Singapore for three years, has returned to the UK for family reasons and will take a leadership position within a GroupM agency.

Waller has been in Asia for 14 years, joining Mediacom in 2015 as China’s Head of Investment Strategy. His role was expanded to include North Asia in 2017.

He will relocate from Shanghai to Singapore early next year.

“As part of our commitment to People First, we always want to prioritise our own talent, but it can’t be at the detriment to capability,” Mediacom APAC chief executive Mark Heap said.. “This is a very important leadership position and we conducted a thorough internal and external search to make sure that we have the best possible candidate.”

Waller will report to Heap and be part of the Mediacom APAC leadership team.
