PR firm Lewis starts operations in Shenzen and Melbourne

Public relations firm Lewis is opening two new offices – one in Shenzen, China and the other in Melbourne, Australia.

The Shenzen office will be headed by Keso Kendall the general manager of Bay Area, Greater China, and associate director Kate Kwan.

They will be supported by a five-member team and recruitment for the office is ongoing. The Melbourne office will be run by general manager Steven Reilly, who is based in Sydney.

Lewis’s senior vice president for Asia-Pacific Emma Jenkins said: “As planned, we’re expanding quickly. With two new offices opening as we complete our first quarter and with almost 20 percent of our planned new hires in place, we’re on track to meet our APAC 2020 goals.”

Lewis had announced its APAC 2020 plan earlier this year, which detailed a significant expansion of its network through the region, by function and geography, for which it had earmarked a $6.5m investment.

It includes launching eight offices through the region in Bangkok, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Haikou, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Melbourne and Shenzhen and new digital hubs in Shanghai, Singapore and Sydney.
