Publicis wins Nestlé media accounts for Singapore and Malaysia, as Mindshare loses out

Nestlé has shifted its media account for Singapore and Malaysia from Mindshare to Zenith and Publicis One respectively following a multi-agency pitch, Mumbrella has learnt.

Explaining the process, a Nestlé spokesman told this website: “This follows a competitive pitch process after Nestle called for a media review in efforts to align its strategy, planning and buying with the evolving industry landscape.”

Zenith Singapore managing director Helen Lee said: “We look forward to partnering with an iconic brand with products that are essential in our everyday consumer’s life, and helping to drive strong media value and grow their business.”

And Publicis One chief executive officer Kieneng Tan added: “The world of media is rapidly converging and we are ready to work hand in hand to take Nestlé ahead of the competition by delivering sophisticated approaches to media strategies through a deep understanding of today’s consumers.”

Nestlé claims to be the world’s largest food and beverage company, with more than 2,000 brands ranging from Maggi to Kit Kat. The company says it has a presence in 189 countries across the world.

Zenith also has the media accounts for Nestlé in Vietnam and the Philippines.

Mindshare was approached for comment, but refused.
