Digital agency iPropsect makes exec hires in Singapore

Digital specialist iProspect has brought on board Matthew Schone as chief product officer and promoted Alex Oakden as head of strategy for Asia-Pacific.

Both roles are newly created with Schone and Oakden being based in Singapore. Schone was previously vice-president of product at ecommerce site Lazada. Meanwhile, Oakden first joined iPropsect as client leadership director this March.

iProspect strengthens its leadership team with the appointment of Matthew Schone as chief product officer, Asia Pacific and Alex Oakden as head of strategy, Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, both regional roles are newly-created to bolster the agency’s product capability and go-to-market strategy across the region.

With extensive in-market experience, specifically in China with Walmart and Alibaba, Matthew has deep expertise building product development teams and launching complex systems globally. Previously as VP – product for Lazada Group (later acquired by Alibaba), he defined the company’s product roadmap and managed its product development capability across the brand/seller experience, retail and customer care tools. Matthew now joins iProspect in the capacity of chief product officer APAC, overseeing product development, adoption and commercialization across 14 markets in Asia.

With experience leading multi-disciplinary client teams, Alex Oakden has strong expertise building progressive brand performance strategies and marrying innovative solutions with data-led infrastructure. Whilst at Dentsu Aegis Network, he has lead integrated media strategy for brands including adidas, L’Oréal and VF Corporation. Alex now moves into the role of Head of Strategy, responsible for building future-focused strategies for brands and supporting the development of insights and product go to market across the region.
