Adobe Japan president James McCready gets additional APAC mandate

Adobe Japan president James McCready has been given the additional mandate of leading the company’s operations in the larger Asia-Pacific region.

This development comes in the wake of Paul Robson, formerly president of Adobe APAC moving to become president of the company in the Europe Middle East and Africa region. McCready joined Adobe earlier this year and was previously vice president of APAC and Japan at Dell EMC.

The announcement:

Adobe has announced James McCready, president of Adobe Japan, is expanding his role to lead the company’s operations in Japan and Asia Pacific (APAC). The announcement follows the appointment of Paul Robson as president of Adobe in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

McCready has extensive experience leading enterprise and commercial businesses in Asia and the United States. He joined Adobe in April 2018 to lead the company’s Japan business, based in Tokyo. Prior to joining Adobe, McCready was vice president of APAC and Japan at Dell EMC, leading sales strategy and execution, as well as platforms and solutions.

Adobe executive vice president of worldwide field operations, Matt Thompson, said: “James brings incredible experience to Adobe and I look forward to seeing him continue to grow Adobe’s business across APAC in his expanded role.”

Robson joined Adobe in November 2011 and has held various roles, most recently leading the company’s APAC business. Under Paul’s leadership, Adobe APAC has expanded into new markets and undergone significant growth.

Matt Thompson: “As president of APAC, Paul has done a phenomenal job setting and driving our strategy in this important market. I am confident he will make a significant impact on our business in EMEA.”
