Ariana Huffington gets new partners for stress-busting media project

Ariana Huffington has announced additional partners in India for her new media project Thrive Global, which aims to tackle the stress and burnout caused through technology – by providing science-based solutions.

She claimed the initiative was “spearheading the conversation around mental health and well-being in India and rejecting the myth that burnout is the price we must pay for success”.

Arianna Huffington, the founder and CEO of Thrive Global, the groundbreaking behavior change media and technology company launched in the United States in 2016, recently concluded a successful trip to India and announced the company’s launch partners for its enterprise offering.

In an effort to continue to scale Thrive Global’s India presence and mission to end the country’s epidemic of stress and burnout, the company organized multiple events and interactions that saw participation from top corporates, business leaders and entrepreneurs such as Manoj Adlakha, SVP and CEO of American Express India, Anant Maheshwari, president of Microsoft India, Kavin Mittal, founder of Hike Messenger, Vani Kola, founder and managing director of Kalaari Capital, CVL Srinivas, Country Manager WPP India, among others.

Thrive Global launched in India in January 2018 in partnership with Times Bridge, the global investments arm of The Times Group, and Ms. Huffington’s recent trip solidified the company’s immersion in the Indian market.

Talking about the successful trip in India, Huffington said: “Thrive is spearheading the conversation around mental health and well-being in India and rejecting the myth that burnout is the price we must pay for success.

“The association with companies like Microsoft, American Express, Landor (WPP Group), WeWork, VU Technologies and venture funds and social enterprises, in addition to continuing our work with JPMorgan Chase and Accenture in India, will mark an important step towards our mission to end stress and exhaustion for employees.”

The meetings resulted in successful conversations to finalize partnerships for Thrive Global India to deliver customized workshops and trainings, as well ongoing coaching and technology products in order to create a thriving corporate culture across organizations.

Media platfor

The second pillar of Thrive Global, its media platform featuring original video content, the latest science, expert commentary and community contributions, was launched in India in late October and has already reached over 25 million viewers, showcasing contributions from popular Indian personalities such as Sonam K Ahuja, Devdutt Pattanaik, Neerja Birla and Viswanathan Anand, to name a few. After Arianna’s insightful interaction with Jaggi Vasudev “Sadhguru” at the India Economic Conclave, Thrive announced that Sadhguru would be Thrive’s guest editor for January 2019.  

Speaking on the success of its media platform, Thrive Global India General Manager, Dr. Marcus Ranney, said: “With both Vodafone and AirBnb successfully completing campaigns on the media platform, there is now strong interest by a number of local and global brands to join the mission and partner with Thrive India’s media platform, a vertical which will have increased importance to the business in 2019.”
