KL-based Independent agency Entropia sets up office in Manila

The Kuala Lumpur based independent agency Entropia has started an office in Manila, the Philippines, its first overseas operation. Eduardo Mapa Jr has joined as partner and country head. Mapa most recently ran a strategic consultancy called Castle by the River. His previous experience includes stints with TBWA\SMP’s Digital Arts Network and Havas Media.

Under his charge, Entropia CBR will provide services in areas like data, tech and content.

Speaking about the decision to start an office in Manila and the hiring of Mapa, Entropia’s founder and senior partner Prashant Kumar said: “Ed brings to the client play an extraordinary vantage point that covers data, tech and storytelling, with a keen eye on what will truly work for their business.

“I am really excited about what he and the exceptional leadership team he has put together, can bring to businesses in Manila.

“The twin forces of data and tech are breaking the business ecosystem we used to know. There is chaos. Entropia CBR’s ambition under Ed and team, supported by our regional operations, is to help clients navigate this chaos in a way that’s highly sophisticated, yet simple.”

Commenting on his decision to join, Mapa said: “Entropia has taken a path to the future that’s audacious yet reassuring for businesses. It has built a service ecosystem with the right culture, structure, processes and tools to connect businesses to the future. And it’s coming in at a perfect time.”

“This venture will uncover new territories in the areas of customer experiences, media engagement, and commerce. I am looking forward to bring these to benefit Philippine marketers.”
