Serviceplan Greater China wins part of Tmall and Vivo mandate

Ad agency Serviceplan China has won part of the business for ecommerce portal Tmall and mobile phone brand Vivo.

The agency won the mandate to launch Vivo’s V12 model, beating BBDO Hong Kong and DDB Singapore. It will handle the brand in Russia and South East Asia.

The account for Tmall for the China market was won in a pitch against BBDO Shanghai and a couple of local boutique agencies. Tmall is part of the Alibaba Group and a leading e-commerce site with over 500 million active users.

Serviceplan China has won Tmall’s Hot Shopping List business that highlights the best selling products from different categories, targeted at various age groups. It has also won the mandate for ‘Super Brand Day’ which promotes limited edition items and products from big brands.

Serviceplan Greater China’s chief creative officer Chong Kin said: “It always feels great to win new business, and we are looking forward to proving Serviceplan China’s big product philosophy, which can help clients to build their brand and product together at once through our collaboration.”
