Landor’s Nick Foley moves out of Singapore to Australia — Evonne Chung promoted to MD

Landor’s president for South East Asia Pacific and Japan, Nick Foley will leave Singapore for Australia. While Foley’s mandate remains unchanged, Evonne Chung has been elevated to the role of managing director of the Singapore office.

Chung said: “Landor’s first engagement with this country occurred in 1972 when it created the Singapore Airlines brand and helped to establish what is still one of the best airlines in the world.

“It has a rich history with Singapore and I am committed to building even stronger partnerships with our clients here and in the region.”

“Over the last year, Nick and I have worked on a gradual transition to leading the Singapore team. I’m genuinely excited about writing a new chapter for our Singapore office.”

Foley who has been in Singapore since 2012 added: “It has been a privilege to work with the team in Singapore and be recognised as one of the most progressive agencies in the region. During my time in South East Asia, Landor has broadened its offer and grown our client base accordingly.”

“These chances don’t come along often. When they do, you need to make the most of them. My family and I have loved living here and it’s been great to work on iconic Singapore brands such as Changi Airport Group, SATS, SP Group, NETS, OCBC and, of course, Singapore Airlines.”

Foley moves back amid significant changes in the Landor operations in Australia in conjunction with WPP AUNZ, its holding company.

He said: “Cornwell in Melbourne is now part of the Landor group and we see significant upside in 2019 as we start to work more closely with our team there. Jessica Murphy has been promoted to the role of General Manager Cornwell and I’m looking forward to spending more time working with Jess, the Cornwell team and our clients across Australia.”
