The Media Kitchen enters Asia, hires agency head for Shanghai office

The Media Kitchen, the media planning and buying division of Swedish ad agency Forsman & Bodenfors is launching its first Asia office in Shanghai, China.

It will be led by Chitty Cao who has been designated media strategy director. She was most recently account director at Forsman & Bodenfors and has previously worked with Media 360, Mediacom and PHD.

The Media Kitchen, a division of the Forsman & Bodenfors, continues to build out its global footprint with a new office in Shanghai, China. The full-service media planning and buying agency, a part of the MDC partners holding company, is driving to embed its award-winning media capabilities into MDC-owned creative agencies around the world.   

The Shanghai office, which will launch with clients in the financial services and technology sectors, is the sixth in The Media Kitchen’s global network, which also includes New York, Minneapolis, Montreal, Toronto and London. The new office, which will be helmed by Chitty Cao, Media Strategy Director, will be sharing offices with Forsman & Bodenfors Shanghai.

To launch the China office, The Media Kitchen has selected Cao from the Forsman & Bodenfors Shanghai team, where she has been an Account Director since 2017. She brings over 10 years of experience serving international clients in the Chinese market. Prior to joining Forsman & Bodenfors China, she was Account Director at Media 360. Cao also previously held the position of Digital Manager of Mediacom in Shanghai, and Senior Digital Planner at PHD Media Shanghai, where she was responsible for Unilever planning.
