YDM Thailand acquires FCB Bangkok with goal of creating ‘a one-stop service’

YDM Thailand, a division of the South Korea-based Yello Digital Marketing group, has acquired FCB Bangkok.

The goal is to create a one-stop service combining the traditional ad agency skills of FCB with the digital marketing driven solutions of YDM Thailand. YDM claims to be “Asia’s leading digital marketing group” and “Korea’s largest digital marketing group”.

YDM Thailand CEO Tanapon Subsomboon said: “The goal of inviting FCB Bangkok as part of YDM Thailand is to strengthen the organisation.  FCB Bangkok has expertise in branding, communication strategies, advertising campaign management and professional production, and a full-fledged team with a strong knowledge base.

“This collaboration will lead to mutual exchanges and learning in order to increase marketing competitiveness which will benefit customers and brands.”

He added: “This will allow YDM Thailand to be able to create new O2O (Online-to-Offline) experiences including marketing strategy design or business solutions which meet the needs of customers completely.”

FCB Bangkok’s managing director Tutiya Disphanurat said: “Joining force with YDM Thailand is to strengthen us and to make our services complete.  We found some customers contact their agencies only considering specific expertise.

“This collaboration will be able to meet the needs of customers in a comprehensive manner, with expertise in both creative and digital marketing.

“The company had revenue of over 100 million baht, and after the collaboration, the company aims to grow together with YDM Thailand at 30%.”
