RedMart CMO gets additional mandate at Lazada Singapore

Ecommerce site Lazada has given Jean Thomas the mandate of chief marketing officer of its Singapore operations. This is in addition to his current responsibilities as CMO of RedMart and of the Lazada Group’s LiveUp membership programme. 

Thomas has previous experience in companies like Neo@Ogilvy and Australian startup Vinomofo before joining RedMart as chief marketing officer in August 2017.

He replaces Jason Huan who moves to Lazada Philippines as chief marketing officer.Huan was previously the head of Lazada’s strategic partnerships, working with partners like Citi, Shell and Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to joining Lazada in 2016, he worked at recruitment firm Robert Half as marketing manager for Asia.

In a statement on the appointments, Lazada said: “These leadership changes are in line with our strategy to continuously nurture its talent pool by providing new opportunities to diversify their work experiences and geographical expertise.”
