Caspar Schlickum joins Accenture Interactive Operations as regional MD for APAC

Caspar Schlickum has joined Accenture Interactive Operations as regional managing director for Asia-Pacific. Accenture Interactive Operations is a division of the management consulting firm that specialises in marketing services.

Schlickum left Wunderman Thompson in January shortly after the merger between WPP agencies J Walter Thompson and Wunderman was officially announced in the region. He was most recently CEO of Wunderman Asia-Pacific.

Speaking about the new assignment to Mumbrella, Schlickum said: “I have not seen an organisation that has so much depth of talent around data, content and of course technology and operations.

“A good example of this is the ‘synops’ platform that Accenture recently launched, which enables client solutions to be not only highly scalable but transparent and effective.

“The work that Accenture Interactive Operations is doing to integrate the story with clients and focus on driving business results is truly impressive, whether that’s speed to market, customer engagement or sales growth.

“Bringing this capability to the APAC region is a hugely exciting opportunity.”

His mandate at Accenture Interactive Operations is “differentiating the product and service offerings to help clients reinvent the way they activate, operate and scale marketing programs to drive superior business outcomes and measurable performance”, according to a press release from the company.

Accenture Interactive Operations global president Nikki Mendonça said: “Caspar’s appointment gives clients a trusted partner to deliver on their growth agenda by leveraging opportunities in the region.”

Schlickum left WPP after a near decade and a half run through the course of which he was with research firm Kantar, Mindshare and programmatic specialist agency Xaxis, before his stint at Wunderman.
