Dr Mumbo

Is Gary Vaynerchuk going to censor his ‘potty mouth’ and stop swearing?

For a moment there this morning, Dr Mumbo thought his day had been ruined before he had even knocked back his first coffee.

The reason? Well, the bombastic marketing guru (to some) Gary Vaynerchuk sent out a note saying that he would be cleaning up his act with a new “curse free” YouTube channel.

The plan was to allow fans to share his content “with kids or in professional circles”, he said.

Say it isn’t so My Vee, Dr M thought to himself. For many hours at his desk have been brightened up by the Vaynerman’s usually expletive-laden rants.

Fear not though. It was all a misunderstanding on Dr M’s part. The ‘main’ YouTube channel will still exist as well.

As usual, his Vee-ness says it best. “If you’ve been following my content for a while, you know how important authenticity is to me.

“It’s why I curse so much and leave so much money on the table in terms of opportunities and speaking gigs.

“But even though I really value ‘being me’, I’m also super aware of the fact that there are a lot of people who just won’t consume content if it has swear words.

“I’m empathetic to that. For those of you who don’t mind cursing, my ‘Jersey potty mouth’ will be still be in full effect on my main YouTube channel.”

A true pluralist, that’s our Mr Vee. Dr M doffs his hat to you Gary.
