Maureen Gomez returns to Publicis Groupe Malaysia as chief talent officer

Publicis Groupe Malaysia has hired Maureen Gomez as chief talent officer. Gomez was most recently head of people and culture for Base Digital Agency. She has previously worked with Leo Burnett and Publicis One.

This marks the third recent senior level hire at Publicis Groupe Malaysia after Kunal Roy as chief strategy officer and Abraham Varughese as chief creative officer.

The announcement:

Maureen Gomez has been appointed as Chief Talent Officer of Publicis Groupe Malaysia. Maureen will be responsible to build and grow the talent and culture as well as play an important role in ensuring synergy across the Groupe. She will work closely with business leads of the Groupe’s agencies and will report directly to CEO of Publicis Groupe Malaysia, Tan Kien Eng.

In the past, Maureen has spent over three years as the Head of People & Culture with Leo Burnett and Publicis One Chief Talent Officer from 2016 onwards for the Groupe. She brings over 12 years of experience in recruitment and human resources, and has worked in various industries, including engineering, manufacturing, but primarily serving the longest in the advertising industry. Prior to this, she held the position of Head of People and Culture for Base Digital Agency.

As Chief Talent Officer, Maureen will focus on identifying and recruiting top talents, employee development and performance management, as well as placing active measure for employee retention. She will oversee the Groupe’s entire HR function.
