New workplace safety campaign from BBDO recommends colleagues look out for one another
A new campaign from BBDO Singapore for the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council focuses on the role colleagues can play in preventing injuries at work.
Titled ‘A Word of Care’, the campaign features several situations where accidents are averted by a timely one-word warning.
National WSH Campaign 2019 Video – A Word of Care
Eh! Did you catch the latest National WSH Campaign video that was launched over the weekend? WSH Council has produced a new Campaign video to advocate everyone to shout out ‘A Word of Care’. By calling out a word of care as simple as “Bro”, “Eh”, “Ah”, “Dei” or even “Abang”, workers can look out for one another at work and take actions when they see a co-worker about to carry out an unsafe act. BBDO Singapore executive creative director Mateusz Mroszczaksaid: “To really get Singaporeans to show care for one another in the workplace, we wanted to find a way that would be relevant.
“Therefore, we leveraged on an existing local behaviour that does show care – just not in the conventional sense. Without needing a whole sentence, people can convey their concern, while looking out for the safety of their colleagues.”
The campaign is a continuation of last year’s ‘Take Time to Take Care’. BBDO had retained the WSH business after a pitch in 2018.
Take Time to Take Care of Your Safety and Health
Preventing injuries and ill health is possible when we take time to take care of ourselves and those around us. Time is an important factor. In the midst of trying to get our work done, we might forget to stop and look at the way we do our work. Through this year’s National WSH Campaign, the WSH Council aims to remind you to take a moment and think of how you can keep yourself safe and healthy at work. The WSH Council has produced a short film “Take Time to Take Care of Your Safety and Health” to highlight the importance of taking time to take care of themselves at work.
