Richard Bleasdale joins TSLA as managing director

Industry veteran Richard Bleasdale has joined Singapore-based independent agency TSLA in the newly created post of managing director.

Bleasdale was previously CEO at Iris Worldwide and most recently had an eight year stint as managing partner for Asia-Pacific at global consultancy firm The Observatory International, known for its work in the pitch management space.

He left The Observatory International in October last year, after it announced the closure of its operations in Singapore, part of a larger pivot from South East Asia to Hong Kong and China.

Bleasdale describes himself on his LinkedIn profile as having “deep experience and expertise in transforming marketing organisations, processes, people and partnerships across global, regional and market-level corporates and government bodies” and “delivering a clear track record of positive and profitable growth, combined with cultural clarity and rejuvenation and a passion for excellence”.

Earlier this year, TSLA announced its joint venture with Mother, which saw its Shanghai operations renamed to become Mother Shanghai. The agency recently parted ways with its general manager Julia Wei who has moved to Lazada as regional vice president of integrated communications.
