Accenture executive joins Dentsu Aegis in senior APAC role

Dentsu Aegis Network has named Accenture’s George Patten as regional operating officer in Asia Pacific.

The company said the appointment represents the “continuing transformation of the business”.

DAN said it wants to “enable a more seamless and cohesive approach to client service that is data-driven, ideas-led and tech-enabled”.

Patten held several roles for Accenture during a 15-year career at the business, latterly as managing director of Interactive Operations for ASEAN. He was also operations lead for Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

Prior to Accenture Patten had stints at PHD and OMD.

“It’s the ideal time for George to join us as we create a new chapter for Dentsu Aegis Network,” said DAN APAC executive chairman Takaki Hibino. “George brings with him extensive management and digital experience to put in place best practice operations and spearhead our data-driven, ideas-led and tech-enabled approach.”

Patten said he was excited to join Dentsu Aegis and and would be “driving operational excellence across their suite of network brands and long term client relationships”.

“The power to continue to harness these capabilities together across each country, region and globally, will continue to set the network apart in the market as we drive long term marketing-led business outcomes for our clients,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dentsu Aegis chief data officer Lauren Walker has been promoted to regional operating officer for EMEA.
