Viddsee reminds young Singaporeans of their filial duties in a film for NTUC

Content firm Viddsee has created a new film for NTUC Social Enterprises titled ‘Because You Matter’. Directed by Ng Yang Meng, the film is about the relationship between a father and his young daughter who finds it difficult to make time for the family.

‘Because You Matter’ draws attention to the loneliness of the older generation in Singapore even as it promotes NTUC Social Enterprises’ benefits for senior citizens.

According to a note from Viddsee: “The short film is made for general Singaporean audiences, and marketed actively to a younger, more tech-savvy generation, based on the insight that they are more likely to chance upon and educate their parents about deals and benefits curated for them.”

The film will be amplified via Viddsee’s homepage and its social media channels.

Speaking about the film, head of Viddsee Studios Kenny Tan said: “Brand values expressed through quality storytelling is what drives great brand marketing.

“Viddsee leveraged on its audience insights and network of storytellers to engage with the younger generation, reminding them to keep the parent’s connection alive, while informing them of the benefits offered to the Merdeka and Pioneer Generations.”

NTUC Social Enterprises head of corporate communications Jonas Kor said: “We wanted to take the opportunity to use quality storytelling to reinforce NTUC Social Enterprises’ heartfelt appreciation for the Merdeka Generation, for their contributions towards nation building.”
