Alex Khan exits mobile ad platform Smaato as MD APAC

Smaato Asia-Pacific managing director Alex Khan has left the company, Mumbrella has learnt. In a statement to Mumbrella, Smaato CEO Arndt Groth said: “We can confirm that Alex has transitioned out of his role at Smaato. His tenure has strongly positioned us for future growth.

“We thank him for his contributions as Asia-Pacific’s managing director and wish him the very best in the future.”

He will be succeeded by Delynn Ho who takes over as general manager of Asia-Pacific. Groth added: “Our supply and demand teams are now reporting in to her. She was previously vice president of supply at Asia-Pacific. Under her leadership, we are confident that Smaato will continue to bring great value to customers and partners in the region.”

Khan had joined Smaato a little over a year ago. He had left Oath, the company formed after the Yahoo Verizon merger in 2017 in the wake of job-cuts that saw the firm shed 4% of its global workforce.
