Fanta picks MediaMonks as its lead agency for SE Asia
MediaMonks has been appointed the lead agency for Fanta for the South East Asia region. The account will be handled out of the agency’s Singapore office.
A note from MediaMonks said: “The overall goal will be to further develop and amplify Fanta’s brand promise in South East Asia, with a core creative message that will tie in all produced content, and link the brand to even more consumers from 2020 onwards.”
Speaking about the development, The Coca-Cola Company’s head of integrated marketing communications for South East Asia, Pratik Thakar said: “We look forward to partnering with S4 Capital and MediaMonks. Leading the change in the industry, they bring a new-generation perspective on reaching consumers, merging data and technology with a unique approach to the development of content.
“And of course, they’re brilliant at providing creative ideas to bring everything together.”
MediaMonks, main monk and CEO Victor Knaap said: “One of the world’s most iconic brands giving us full responsibility over their content and strategy in the region is a monumental achievement.
“The vote of confidence Fanta displayed in our ability to create culturally impactful work is a badge of honor to us, and we can’t wait to work on some seriously creative projects that will help guide the brand.”
Other recent wins for MediaMonks in the region include P&G SK-II, Shiseido, Mead Johnson Nutrition RB (Reckitt Benckiser), Marriott and Resorts World Sentosa, to name a few.
MediaMonks does strategy?
Excellent (and [Edited under Mumbrella’s community guidelines]) production, but will be interesting to see their attempt to move into more strategic work, which is a different ballgame.
Great brand, seems like the S4 proposition is being well received.
ReplyI’m guessing the fact Ogilvy was the incumbent makes it all the sweeter…
ReplyS4 is after small brands run by individuals who are in awe of them. People who will be willing to take a risk. WPP has been your trusted partner for years. Where is the loyalty?
ReplyLoyalty has to be earned. Ogilvy have done plenty of spec work [Edited under Mumbrella’s community guidelines] to win awards for Coca Cola when was the last time they did anything decent for Fanta?
ReplyOgilvy and WPP HAS done some great work for the Coca Cola company, Fanta included.
ReplyFanta has never been a key brand. Look around you in every SEA market to observe that. For TCC it’s all about Coke, after all there is a reason why its not called the Fanta Company. Lol!
S4 is going against Agencies to be controversial and be heard. Agencies do everything they do [Edited under Mumbrella’s community guidelines]. It reeks of [Edited under Mumbrella’s community guidelines].
