Frankie Fung moves from mcgarrybowen to DDB Group Hong Kong as executive creative director

DDB Group Hong Kong has appointed Frankie Fung as executive creative director. He was most recently group creative director at mcgarrybowen Hong Kong. Fung previously worked for DDB Group Hong Kong on multiple occasions, most recently from 2011 to 2015 as group creative director. He has also worked for Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett.    

A note from DDB Group said: “With nearly 20 years’ experience in Hong Kong and China and over 100 local and international creative and marketing awards, Fung is a highly respected creative in the industry.

“His work for blue-chip brands, including McDonald’s, Manulife, Volkswagen, Philips and HSBC, has been recognised both locally and the world over.

“He will now bring his experience and understanding of the McDonald’s business back to DDB where he will be leading the development of integrated creative on this account, as well as on other local business.”

Fung is now part of the management team at the agency and will report to DDB Group Hong Kong CEO, Andreas Krasser.

Speaking about his return to DDB, Fung said: “I’m very happy to be back. DDB not only has great clients with great creative potential, but I can also feel that the agency overall is moving in an exciting new direction.”
