Jagermeister appoints BBDO as lead agency in China

BBDO China has won the local mandate for Jägermeister.

The mandate covers brand communications as well as digital and social projects and is effective immediately.

The announcement:

Mast-Jägermeister SE has appointed BBDO China their lead agency for the Chinese market. The agency will be responsible for all brand communications, as well as for digital and social projects. The appointment is effective immediately.

Jägermeister is the world’s best-selling premium liqueur and is firmly rooted in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. In recent years, Jägermeister has been increasingly successful in China, making it one of the most important markets for the traditional family-owned business. Jägermeister was therefore seeking a new agency partner to drive further growth in China – a creative agency that understands the mind-set and consumption behaviour of young adults and also has a passion for the brand and the category. BBDO was able to show just that; furthermore, the client felt that we were the right agency to handle digitally-led activities and when it came to social strategy and delivery, they felt BBDO came to the table with the best approach.

Tze Kiat Tan, CEO BBDO Greater China, commented “We are very excited to be appointed by such a great brand and we are looking forward to delivering an integrated marketing and communications strategy that helps them meet their ambitious growth goals in China.”

Matt Djokovic, Regional Director Mast-Jägermeister Asia Pacific, commented “We are thrilled to be working with BBDO China, it’s an agency with great people and that over a long period of time has a proven track record of delivering outstanding expertise which will impact business results.”
