UM and Allianz create ‘protection’ campaign in lead up to Malaysia Day

Universal McCann and insurance firm Allianz have created a series of videos in a Malaysia Day campaign exploring the meaning of a multi-cultural Malaysia.

The four videos show Malaysians sharing childhood memories and personal experiences before being asked what they believe needs protecting in Malaysia.

UM business director Wong May May said: “We wanted to inspire Malaysians by showcasing actual experiences of veterans and activists from different backgrounds and have them speak about their individual stories of sacrifice and aspirations for our beloved country.

“Through these personal conversations the videos weaved in messages of strength, unity and inclusion in a unique way.”

The agency said the video raise “profound questions” and highlight the protection of access to education, unity, rights, heritage
and culture.

The three initial videos each cut off with a question, with the concluding video asking each pair what they believe is the most important thing to protect in Malaysia.

The videos will run on social channels with other activations, including a talk show on TV3 and 8TV on Malaysia Day.
