Wunderman Thompson Kolkata creates ‘the most relevant of film’ of India’s festive season

A festive special film from Wunderman Thompson for Kolkata-based garment company Turtle addresses the prickly social issue of mob lynching. Starting with a stylised depiction of a mob assembling for a lynching, the film suddenly changes in tenor with the arrival of Durga, a deity worshipped in the currently ongoing Durga Puja festival.

A note from Wunderman Thompson said that the film needed three months of painstaking animation. It was directed by Wunderman Thompson Kolkata executive creative director Arjun Mukherjee, with art and Illustration is by Saptarshi Dey and music by Prabuddha Banerjee

Wunderman Thompson chief creative officer Senthil Kumar said: “A film that celebrates the arrival of the goddess with a powerful message for the nation. If art can move people, this one will give you the shivers. 

“An ode to keep the faith that threads us together as one. It’s a human story that will be shared by millions and surely the most relevant film this festive season.
