Joanne de Rozario named MD at Prodigious Singapore

Joanne de Rozario has been promoted to managing director of Prodigious, the creative and production specialist agency of the Publicis Groupe. She replaces Peter Short who leaves after three years with the agency to pursue other opportunities. 

de Rozario joined Prodigious last July moving from Brand New Media where she was managing director. She resigned around the time Singapore Press Holdings folded its disparate content offerings including acquisitions like Brand New Media into a new specialist unit called Sweet. According to her LinkedIn profile de Rozario “worked closely with Singapore Press Holdings on the acquisition and restructuring of the business to ensure profitability”.  

de Rozario will report to Publicis Communications Singapore CEO Lou Dela Pena and Prodigious Asia-Pacific Middle East and Africa CEO Michael Burgess. Her mandate is to grow business and oversee the agency’s development and creation of content for clients of Prodigious and the Publicis Groupe. She has previously worked for Fox, Media Prime Berhad and lifestyle television channel Li TV Asia.

Commenting on her appointment, Lou Dela Pena said: “I cannot think of anyone more perfect for the role to drive Prodigious to the next level. She brings a blend of experience from both the storytelling and the production delivery sides of the business. Her unique expertise that will be key change in deepening Prodigious’ offering in agile content creation and delivery.”
