Viddsee creates documentary for DBS Foundation-backed social enterprise app Homage

Viddsee has created a documentary on a social enterprise called Homage that has been supported by the DBS Foundation.

Homage is a social enterprise app created by Gillian Tee who returned to Singapore to care for her mother after years as an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley. Homage provides affordable personalised home care therapy for the elderly.

A note from Viddsee said that the documentary ‘In Good Hands – Paying Homage’ and another that is yet to be released on a social enterprise called I’m Soul Inc were inspired by conversations among members of its community, sharing the stories of selfless individuals.

Viddsee co-founder Derek Tan said: “Highlighting stories that need to be told is what motivates us as storytellers. When we saw the stories that shared about everyday people who have been working tirelessly to create a better, more inclusive community, we knew we had to delve deeper on how we can recognise their efforts.”

“In documenting the stories of Homage and I’m Soul Inc, two enterprises supported by DBS Foundation, the filmmaker Eileen Chong was careful to maintain a rustic and authentic feel to the videos’ treatment, focusing on how the individuals and their organisations have touched the lives of those in need.

“We hope that these two documentaries will be the catalyst for more insightful conversations on our platform, and through them, discover more inspiring stories that we can continue to share.”
