BBDO/Proximity Live and APAX win Corneliani

Menswear brand Corneliani has appointed two agencies – BBDO/Proximity Live and APAX – to handle communications to mark the brand’s Chinese expansion.

Proximity Live is an agency at the heart of BBDO which helps prestige brands engage with China’s affluent consumers. APAX is one of China’s leading luxury event creative and management agencies.

The two agencies have partnered to offer Corneliani event solutions, which include the opening of its newest flagship boutique, an event culminating in the autumn/winter 2013 fashion show, and media relations services.

On the appointment Cristiano Corneliani, Global Sales Director, Corneliani SpA, added, “We sought an agency that could clearly communicate to Chinese audiences our brand’s past, present and future vision, as well as our Renaissance heritage and exquisite quality garments. The two agencies are tasked with conception and execution of all aspects. Work will include a brand event – featuring cutting-edge 3D video mapping technology on a ceiling structure filled with tubes – for global VIPs and media, a fashion show, flagship store launch, media relations and digital outreach.

BBDO/Proximity Live and APAX were awarded the business following a competitive pitch.
