DDB Singapore wins government project to fight dengue

DDB’s Singapore office is reporting winning a project for the National Environment Agency to combat the spread of dengue.

The announcement:

The National Environment Agency (NEA) has appointed DDB Group Singapore as its creative agency of record on its Dengue Prevention campaign.

DDB is tasked to develop the marketing publicity campaign, including family and community engagement through social media and content development, with a focus on making Dengue prevention a part of everyday life for Singaporeans. Against the backdrop of rising dengue cases in the first four months of this year, the need to step up the fight against dengue is now more crucial than ever.

David Tang, President and Chief Executive Officer of DDB Group Singapore said, “Dengue prevention is a key national agenda which DDB is keenly into the fight. It’s a formidable challenge that calls for pragmatic and ingenious ways to get every family and a nation into the act. I think that’s something we like to get into – sensible yet surprisingly effective marketing.”

NEA awarded DDB the agreement through a competitive pitch process, which involved 12 creative and media agencies. All media planning duties will be handled by the agency’s media partner OMD.
