Lowe wins Southeast Asia brief for Kirin

IPG-owned ad agency Lowe has won a pitch for Kirin, the beverage firm, in Southeast Asia.

The announcement:

Beverage producer Kirin Holdings Singapore Pte Ltd, has signed Lowe Singapore to partner with them on key regional initiatives that launch early 2014.

The process was conducted by R3 and Lowe won the assignment after an extended three-month process. Work on fully-integrated campaigns will begin this month.

Toru Yamasaki, General Manger, Marketing, Kirin Holdings Singapore, says: “Southeast Asia is an important growth area for our brand. And what we loved about Lowe’s offer to us was their ability to both think at a regional level, but also leverage local consumer knowledge across the region. Lowe also has long-standing histories with a number of their clients building iconic brands over years, and we believe they value true partnerships.”

Srija Chatterjee, Regional Business Director, Lowe Singapore, adds: “The beverage category is both challenging and dynamic, and Kirin is an amazing brand to be partnering on; we’re delighted. I hope this can be the start of a great partnership.”

Kirin Holdings Singapore was established by Japan’s Kirin Group in 2010 as the base for the company’s organic growth across Southeast Asia. Kirin Holdings Singapore is a producer and trader of soft drinks. It works with divisions including Interfood Shareholding Company (Vietnam) and Siam Kirin Beverage Company (Thailand).

Lowe handles local, regional, and global brands from its offices in Singapore.
