Among the gold winners at the APPIES

The ‘It’s more fun in the Philippines’ tourism campaign, ‘apology press conference’ by Snickers in Japan and Thailand’s ‘kid smoker’ were among the gold winners at the APPIES Awards.

Singapore emerged as the most awarded country and BBDO the most awarded agency.

The APPIES, which are run by the Institute of Advertising, Singapore, recognise the best marketing campaigns in Asia.

Chief judge Rohit Jawa, senior VP of global marketing operations at Unilever, praised the winners but noted: “Even with the best of the best, brands and agencies are still trying to figure out how to make digital fit in the marketing mix.”
