Naked Communications co-founder Jon Wilkin resigns

Jon WilkinOnly one of the founding partners of pioneering strategy agency Naked Communications now remains following the resignation of Jon Wilkin.

Wilkin, who co-founded Naked with Will Collin and John Harlow in 2000, will leave the agency at the end of the year.

Wilkin joined the Sydney office in 2009, then moved to New York in 2011.

Matthew Melhuish, CEO of Enero Group, which owns Naked, said: “Jon is a unique figure in the industry; a creative thinker, straight talker and a genuinely nice guy. Loved by clients and staff from Sydney to London – Jon is leaving Naked but his unique way of looking at problems and desire to challenge the status quo lives on in Naked’s DNA.”

Wilkin said: “After 13 and a half years at Naked it feels like the right time to move on and explore new horizons. I’ve put my heart and soul into Naked and leave with many amazing memories. The best part has been the chance to work with some of the most brilliant, creative and inspiring people in the industry.”

“Naked means the world to me and will always do so. My decision to move on is made slightly easier in knowing that Naked is in great shape and in such good hands. Naked has embarked on a new chapter and I wish the team nothing but success for the future,” he said.

Naked co-founder Will Collin, who remains with the company said: “Jon will be missed by the Naked family and leaves with our unwavering support. The timing is right for him and I have no doubt that he will continue to do great things. I’m very excited about the road ahead. Never before have we had so much invested into our brand, attracting new clients, exceptional new talent and energizing our team.”
