JWT appoints Josie Brown as the agency’s first Asia Pacific digital director

Josie BrownJWT has appointed a regional digital director for the first time.

Josie Brown, currently the digital director at JWT Australia, has been handed regional responsibility, and will be continue to be based in Melbourne.

The agency claims to have doubled its digital revenue last year, and Brown’s brief is to grow that further.

“Our mission this year is to ensure we have a strong, digital heartbeat in every office, and Josie is the right person to add momentum to that drive,” said JWT’s regional CEO Tom Doctoroff.

Brown began her career at German airline Lufthansa in Europe, where she led the launch of the airline’s first .com websites. The Australian then worked on the launch of European online travel agency Opodo, and set up Melbourne agency Sputnik.

She joined JWT as digital director for Australia, and works with clients such as Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Bayer. She has overseen JWT’s regional relationship with Mattel since 2011.
