Carat hires Gilad Coppersmith to run regional GM account

Media agency Carat has hired Gilad Coppersmith as international client president for General Motors’ international operations based in Singapore.

Sean O’Brien, CEO of Carat Asia Pacific, today announced the appointment of Gilad Coppersmith to International Client President for GM International Operations (GMIO) heading up the team from Singapore across APAC, Middle East and Africa. Gilad will report into Sean.

“With strong digital, innovations and management credentials, Gilad is a great asset to the team and the ideal leader for the General Motors business. I look forward to seeing how he drives innovation in the work we do in the coming year and builds on our already strong relationship with GM,” Sean O’Brien, CEO of Carat Asia Pacific said.

Gilad joins Carat from IPG Mediabrands in Singapore, where he was Senior Vice President, Digital and Innovation Catalyst for the World Markets. He has over 19 years’ experience in the industry and has held senior roles at OMD and Starcom Worldwide in Canada, Starcom Worldwide, McCann Worldgroup and Universal McCann in China and PHD in London.
